This homemade costume for babies entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Monika, the 'Struck by Lightning' costume creator:
This is my 4 month old daughter. She has a lot of hair that naturally stands up and one day she looked like she had been electrocuted which made me think I should do something with her crazy hair for halloween. I finally came up with the idea and started thinking what to do. I took a onesie of hers cut holes then had my husband burn the edges. Then I made "dirty marks" with dark eyeshadow. I wanted to make sure people knew what she was so I cut cardboard the shape of a cloud. I then glued cotton balls to the card board and added dark spots to make it look like a storm cloud. Then glued yarn to it with paper shaped as lightning bolts. I finished it up by putting dark eyeshadow on her face.
