Mommy Pizza Pie and Baby Slice Costume

My 20 month old is sporting the slice. I constructed this like a poncho with red felt (sauce) and burlap (cheese) and fuzzy tan fabric for the crust. I attached the poncho to a long sleeved shirt so he couldn't take it off. The toppings are made of a fake palm leaf I found (basil) black buttons (olives) old gray undershirt (mushrooms) felt for the sausage and pineapple. The large pie that I am wearing is made from cardboard from a huge box. I painted it red and glued on the cheese. I sewed the crust to fit the round edge stuffed with newspaper and hot glued it on. I'm proud to say the only thing I purchased for this costume was the fabric for the crust. Everything else I either found or already had. I probably spent about $10.
