Ghostbusters Gatekeeper and Keymaster Costume

I am the Gatekeeper and my husband is the Keymaster from Ghostbusters. I've been wanting to make these costumes for a while now since we are huge fans of the movie.

I made my dress from scratch. I tried to mimic the dress from the movie as close as possible and chose a shimmering chiffon for the overlay and a black/gold liquid metal stretch fabric underneath and for the belt. The pattern was hand drawn and I went with a simple kaftan shape.

My husband's headgear is made from our strainer. I replicated the wires using plastic hair elastics from my local dollar store. A few led party lights were added on the top and the chinstrap was made out of a shoulder pad.
