Plague Doctor and Victim Costume

This is my husband and I dressed as a plague doctor and victim, complete with oozing boils on my face! My husband came up with the idea randomly, and once I looked up some examples I loved the idea! Both costumes are handmade, my medieval style nightgown and his hooded robe were both sewn by my mom, and his mask is hand sewn by me (the only part purchased was the goggles on his mask). The boils on my face were made using (as strange as this sounds) raisins, googly eyes, spirit gum, and lots of liquid latex, then make-up on and around them for color, some fake blood, and a flour/water mix for the pus that actually oozed when I squeezed them. It made for a very gross but cool effect!
