This homemade costume for boys entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Allison, the 'Puffer Fish' costume creator:
This is my son, Ty's, Halloween costume. Needless to say, it took me (his mom) a month to make. :) It is a puffer fish.
Ty loves fish in the ocean. I started out making the base of it with a toy sphere that expands. I zip tied it and lined it with cotton, covered it with cloth, and spray painted it several colors of brown. Then. I cut about 60 spikes out of foam and hot glue gunned those. The eyes are made of 7 eleven slurpie tops. Overall, I didn't mean for the cost to get this high, but it was around $80 to make.
