Sensei Wu and the Golden Ninja Costume

Last year, my son was really into Ninjago. He wanted to be the Golden Ninja for Halloween, so I set out to make the costume as he requested. It was my first time making costumes. I used cardboard to cut out the body and spray painted in yellow. I used colored tape that I got from Target to make the lines. I made the mask using a mesh trash can, but he didn’t like the way it felt, so we wrapped his head with a yellow T-shirt. He was really happy. For Sensei Wu, I used a white bathrobe and taped a black tape along the neckline and the belt. My husband picked up the rice hat from a Vietnamese store for 5 dollars. For the beard, I used a blond wig, turned upside down and trimmed it. I sewed an elastic strap to wear it around the head.
