Bloody Mary Costume

My friends and I went as a Cocktail Party this year and I decided to go as one of my favorites - A Bloody Mary. I made the glass using mainly a hula hoop and shower curtain with rings which I kept on me with elastic straps. I then made all of my garnishes - the olive and pickle were done out of balloons that were paper-mached and painted, the large straw and celery were made using piping from the hardware store and then covered with white and green masking tape, the lemon is made out of felt then stuffed to be 3D. I wore a red dress to be the drink. And the final details were my earrings that were made out of mini bottles of hot sauce, a purse made out of red and green felt to look like a tomato, and a mini bottle of vodka around my neck as a necklace to complete the look, of course! I think when I wear it out on actual Halloween this Wednesday for my city's parade I may mix up an actual bloody mary and have the cup rest in the straw so folks can actually have a drink!
