The Addams Family Costume

This year we decided to go as the Addams Family. My husband had a pinstriped suit, so I just attached a plastic hand to his shoulder for "thing". My son had a mustache, and I just dressed him in a gray and black tee with black pants. I made a little plastic spider pin for his shirt as well for a little added "creep" factor. For my daughter's costume, I just sewed a white peter pam collar and added it to a black dress we had. She also had a plastic spider pin. As for Morticia, I sewed the entire dress. I used black lace fabric that I bought on clearance for the "mermaid tail" as well as the sleeves, and plain black polyester fabric for the dress. I ironed on some of the lace on top of the polyester to give the dress a little more character.
