This homemade costume for women entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Hyla, the 'Bird of Paradise Macaw' costume creator:
The Bird of Paradise - Macaw costume was originally made for a Mardi Gras party. The design is based on a mummers costume. I really like sparkles, sequins and feathers so they were added to make the costume a real show stopper. This costume required a lot of patience as I recall as it was made some time ago. I am wearing the costume in the photo and plan to bring the Bird back this Halloween.
