This homemade costume for women entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Megann, the 'Pirate' costume creator:
I made this costume with what I had around my house. I previously purchased the corset years ago for another event, I got the idea starting there. I thought a pirate would come out well. It did.
I had the pair of skinny jeans and boots already. The hat is my husband's old cowboy hat that he didn't want. I watched a utube video on how to make a tricorn hat. Love the way it turned out. Added some feathers from hobby lobby.
I got the white shirt, old scarf(used as belt), and toy sword from local goodwill. All the jewelry I had and gathered some from my hubby.
