The Quarter Found its Gumball Machine Costume

My boyfriend and I are wearing these costumes. I saw the idea on Pinterest but wanted to make it my own. The two most important parts of creating the costume were finding the perfect red dress. I really liked this one because it's high in the front but has a very low back. Next, it is important to pick the right colored pom-poms (or "gumballs"). I never knew that there were so many different color options until I went shopping for them! I ended up mixing different bags together to make the perfect combination. I then used a hot glue gun to glue all of the pom-poms onto the dress and headband. I also used a duct tape sheet for the 25 cent sign.
For the quarter, I used a Wilton round cake base, a paint marker, and my Cricut machine as a letter-cutter. I also printed out a picture of a quarter to trace George Washington's head. I enjoyed making, and we enjoyed wearing this costume!
