This homemade costume for women entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.

This is the kidnapped mermaid costume. My aunt and mom made it it took awhile. My aunt made the tail and the treasure chest is a box with wood color paper glued on it. Fake gold coins and jewels. For the pirate my mom bought a manikin head got a mask put that in it got the eye patch got a pirate hat we got the coat at a discount clothing store and we strapped him on me with a backpack. I actually found the idea online and I thought it would be a great idea which it turned out awesome I actually won $1,000 with it.
