This homemade costume for kids entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Shannin, the 'The Little Cactus' costume creator:
My three year old son Reznor decided all on his own he wanted to be a cactus for Halloween. I knew it would be a challenge to make so I tried to persuade him to be an animal like a fox or a doggy. He was firm in his decision and I secretly loved his out of the box thinking! I used outdoor patio fabric for the outside of the cactus to give it a sturdy weight. It is lined with felt and stuffed with batting. The bottom trim of the dirt and lizard are made of felt. I used jute for the prickles.
