Very Hungry Catetpillar Costume

I have a 2 month old who LOVES to eat, so what better costume than Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar?!

The costume was homemade and cost in all less than $8! Using one of his sleepsacks as a guide, I made my own pattern for the body of the costume. I used two different green cotton fabrics from Joann's and another green knit fabric I already had to make the binding at the neck and arm holes.

I also crocheted the hat using a pattern I found online.

This new first time mom had to stay up super late a few nights to make this costume happen, but I think it was with it!
