Puppy Scarecrow Costume

My 1 year old yellow Labrador, Ruger, is wearing a handmade costume created by myself. I repurposed an old plaid shirt by cutting the sleeves off to meet his leg length. I bought dog related fabric (paw prints and "puppy love") to create patches resembling a stereotypical scarecrow, while connecting the dog aspect of it. I also purchased a raggedy yellow yarn to stitch the patches onto the chest and sleeves of the plaid shirt. I lined the end of the sleeves and collar with hot glue to attach real straw, as most scarecrows are stuffed with straw. I repurposed an old hat by adding red bandana fabric around the adge of the hat with hot glue. I also sewed some dog related patches to the hat and I hot glued some straw to create a rugged scarecrow field look. I then tied a braided rope around his abdomen as a belt to add the final touches of a stereotypical scarecrow. As far as his makeup, I used eye liner to create his stitches and red lipstick as his rosey cheeks and nose. I sat him in a cornfield to create an atmosphere pertaining to his costume.
