Spooky Scarecrow Costume

Hand made scarecrow mask out of burlap, jupe and hay. I started out with a hard plain skull mask. On that mask I built up and shaped the scarecrows face out of cardboard, newspaper and Gorilla tape, than covered it in burlap. I used a lighter and burned it in certain spots to make it look old a worn. For the clothes I got a flannel shirt and ripped it and rubbed it in dirt to give it the authentic old, dirty look. Same with the overalls. The boots were originally tall, old leather boots that I cut short and glue hay coming out the top. Next I spray painted the boots with black and green paint, than ran and kicked around it the dirt with them on. For the finishing touches I stuffed me with hay and had it sticking out of spots of the the shirt we and overalls.
