Voodoo Doll Costume

I am wearing a voodoo doll costume which I created. I was in New Orleans not long ago and had been pondering the idea of a voodoo dol tattoo so the ideas came to mind pretty easily.
I made the head from shaping an old curtain rod into U shape and then wrapping wire coat hangars around it which were wired on to an old embroidery hoop which was the base of head. This all formed a ball which was wrapped in 1 inch bed padding foam that was layered with burlap farbic. Button are made from thick foam that was painted and glued on. I cut 2 eyehole in the button holes and used black yarn to stitch a mouth.
The body is 2 piece made from burlap, red felt for heart and stitched with black yarn. Pants are held up by rope belt. Arms were gathered at sleeves to give closed look.
I took my Croc shoes and covered with burlap to give overall doll effect.
I wore this to the local VFW and won overall grand prize, everyone loved it and even thought it was purchased not made.
