This is my sweet little 20 month old Popeye! One of my fondest Halloween memories growing up was the hand made costumes my mom would make. Now that I have a son of my own, I wanted to do the same. It's not perfect, but it was made with a lot of love!
The trickiest part was the muscles! This is the 3rd time I made them (the 1st they were way too small, the 2nd they were huge!). I used a long sleeve bodysuit and attached flesh colored material to it and made a cuff to make it look like a short sleeve shirt. I then stuffed the flesh material with batting. A few more touches, and a mini Popeye was born!
