This homemade costume for boys entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Barbara, the 'Island of Sodor' costume creator:
My son Julian loves Thomas the Train. Instead of making him a train costume, I thought it would be cool to build the island of Sodor where Thomas and all his friends live. It was made with cardboard and wire to make it round. Next I added handles inside so he could rest his shoulders on. I added the landscape, train stations, trains on the island. I created a hat with the clouds and Harold the helicopter flying.
