Sesame Street Bert and Ernie Costume

My girlfriend & I made these entire costumes ourselves...we covered turtlenecks in colored duct tape strips, glued hair onto bald caps (we both have really long hair!), went all out with the face paint, made ears out of felt, attached some craft sticks to our hands so our friends could move us like puppets...and Bert's nose is made from a silly putty container (I used the silly putty with some double sided tape to attach the nose!) Since everything was handmade, we spent less than $25 each per costume.
