A word from Milene, the 'Loofah and Dove Soap' costume creator:
My boyfriend (Jason) and I were a Loofah and Dove soap bar.
Loofah: I bought about 2 yards of purple Tulle, a thick braided rope, thread, needle and elastic. I made two wraps of elastic (one for my waist and one for my chest). I sewed the elastic ends together then folded the tulle in half. Cut the tulle into 1' by 1' squares then tied the squares in the middle with the thread. I then tied the rest of the thread to the elastic. about six per one elastic band. Once you are ready to wear the costume, put the elastic "tutus" on and pouf yourself! Tie the braided rope between the two elastic bands and let it hang.
Soap: I boat white fabric (it was a towel like fabric), grey felt, and found a large cardboard box big enough to make a front and back side. We cut the box to the shape and size we wanted and covered both sides with the white fabric. We took a comfortable rope that would rest on his shoulders to connect the front and back and put it through the tops and bottoms. I free hand drew the dove label on the felt then cut it out when it was to my liking and glued it on.
