Minion and Gru Costume

I am the minion and my dad is a very believable Gru. I usually come up with my costumes the year before when everyone is dressed up and I get ideas. My dad had to dress up for work and the onery face comes naturally because he hates it. I love it enough for both of us and had so much fun. They were pretty easy and inexpensive costumes, but the reactions were great. For the minion I got a yellow hat and added pipe cleaner for the hair. I got some glasses online and painted them gray. Then I took some overalls and added puff paint to make the logo. I covered myself in yellow face paint and that was it. Gru was just dark pants, a jacket, and the striped scarf. Then we did dark eyebrows and his "favorite" part, the pointy nose made out of putty. Finish it off with a scowl and the look is complete. Good job, dad, way to get into character :)
