Von Trapp Children from Sound of Music Costume

These are my three children, and my two sisters’ kids. All ten cousins live in the same neighborhood and are the best of friends. We do everything together, and one day I was joking around with my sisters about how when we go places we should dress them up in matching curtain clothes, like in sound of music, so we could keep track of them all. That’s how the idea came about for the Halloween costume. Our aunt is an amazing seamstress, so we asked her to make the costumes for us last summer. We had her make them from actual curtain fabric, like in the movie. It was so cute to hear them all sing “Do, a deer, a female deer...” as they marched through the streets trick or treating on Halloween! My sisters and I were the nuns from the movie (not pictured because those costumes were store bought).
