Zoltar Costume

We made this entire costume ourselves! We used a lot of card board and everything in the machine had to be light so we got creative spray painting small plastic goblets for the lights. We hollowed out a styrophome ball, put and led light in it and glued it to the top of an upside down spray painted plastic serving bowl. We used tassels and fabric to make the curtains and the skirt. I made the vest, shirt and hat without a pattern since I couldn't find one. He is able to move around because there are straps that anchor to the box and go over his shoulders like suspenders. We glued fake money, tarot cards and a genie lamp to the table part. We printed out a picture of a Zoltar machine and tried to make it look exactly like the real thing! We go to a lot of amusement parks and we see this machine all over. We thought it would be the perfect costume idea! My kids and I had a blast making this together!
