Alice in Wonderland / Cheshire Cat Costume

This photo is of my halloween costume that I made - a mash-up of Alice In Wonderland and the Cheshire Cat. I bought all the material at a local materials shop apart from the purple leotard. I was inspired by a dance I'd seen by 2 people with one girl as the Cheshire cat and one as Alice In Wonderland and I though it would be a cool idea to put them both into one costume (I'm not sure if it's been done before somewhere, but it hasn't in my town!). I made this costume as a more creative costume because even though I'm now 16, I've never been one for scary costumes - I love the creative side of halloween costumes and getting to be different more than anything. I created a template for the Alice side and adjusted it to fit me as well as look like Alice, as well as sewiing the stripes onto the purple leotard and making the purple down my leg. I did the makeup/facepaint myself too and although it took a while to make, for my first ever home-made costume I was very pleased with the final result!
