Cleopatra Costume

I wore this costume on Halloween, I had just seen the movie with Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra. I helped my mom make this all by hand (no machines). We did not use any patterns, we just picked the fabrics that would make this outfit pop like hers. for the gold ring around the neck we used quilt batting & sewed the gold over it & hot glued numerous colored jewels different shapes & sizes. The blouse was made with a opal type material so it would compliment the surrounding colors. The skirt was a shimery blue fabric with an elastic waist. IZ found a clear plastic belt & attached gold ribbons, etc with some jewels. I bought a black wig & placed a gold belt buckle type item that had mini gold chains hanging off of it. On the back of blouse we attached with snaps a gold see thru fabric for a cape appearance. Also a matching gold bag to carry the candy I would collect,
