This homemade costume for kids entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kelli, the 'Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head' costume creator:
These cost about $40 total for the 2 costumes. I sewed a basic potato shape with ears. Used mesh for the eyes, cut a slit in the back so the kids could fold down the head if needed. Stuffed the bottom with a punching balloon on both sides and filled a channel in the top of the head for smaller balloons to puff it up.
