Beetlejuice Costume

Beetlejuice we got the idea to do Beetlejuice from the movie. We dress up every year as a family because my husband and I got married 12 years ago on Halloween and this is our big to do for Halloween. My four-year-old son is Beetlejuice my mother made the costume with a pattern I bought a man’s wig and sprayed it so it looked like it should and I did his make up. My husband Clint and me Cheryl bought masks for our distorted face and added wigs to them my daughter Chloe is the lady that was cut in half she has a handmade top and color I bought a wig for it that is black and changed it up so it would work for her costume had to pick it up in the back and then we bought a manikin cut it in half painted the top so it looked like blood pain in the legs to look blue and put tights and a skirt and kid shoes on the mannequin legs. Then we got a small scale fling put an old couch to roll over it cut it down and sewed it together to look like the couch and sat the legs on it we also had to cut a hole in the couch for her to stand up through. Then we painted her whole top blue. For my other daughter Cheyenne she was wearing the red wedding dress it is all handmade we also had to go on Pinterest to find out how to make the veil which is just tool and I hear clip pushed in your wig the dress is just a pattern and we came up with how to do the color completely on her own because you cannot find a pattern for that. My husband just wore khakis and we just found a plaid shirt at JCPenney‘s my dress was all handmade by my mother and then just to finish it off with a pair of shoes from Walmart. We bought all the material from Joannes fabric. A lot of the supplies we already had like the scaffolding the couch cover but I would say roughly over all it may have cost us probably about $200 to put this costume together.
