Little African Princesses Costume

My 2 granddaughters are wearing the costumes. I won a halloween contest wearing the same costume 25 years ago. All of the accessories they are wearing, I purchased them 26 years ago when i vacationed in Nigeria. I also learned how to apply the make up.

Dress Wrap:
I used 2 1/2 yards of material for the 7 year old & 3 1/2 for the 9 year old. I tied one end around the front of the neck. Pulled the fabric between the legs from the front to the lower back . Fold the other end inward 1/2 yard then wrap to the front and tie at the waist.

Head Wrap:
I put their hair in a ponytail on top. I used 1/4 yard. fold it over in a triangle shape. tied and knotted the front.
