Here is an aliencostume i made.
i wanted something special and spacey for a contact juggling performance. so i wanted to make a female and elegant alien.
at first i made the headpiece, i made 6 bows of wire and taped it. Then i sprayed it with silvercolour, put some glitterstones on it and took silver net between the bows to make it look more reptileskinlike... the top and the skirt were simply knitted with some metalic textile. Then i just took some big contacts, a colorful wig, make up and a lot of glitter ;D
