Alien Attack Costume

I thought it would be cool to be attacked by a UFO. The laser beam is made from the same parts you would use to make a Jedi light saber. I had to make a brace for my back on which I attached a flag pole bracket that supported the light saber, which supported the UFO. The "laser gun" was just that, a toy laser gun. I put a small speaker and mp3 player in the UFO which provided the necessary sound affects, hovering UFO, laser blasts, and an occasional photon torpedo. LED lights were used for the outer edge of the "flying saucer", the bottom section and the alien's dashboard. I couldn't find a toy alien of this size so I had to sculpt one out of styrofoam. There was a big debate whether or not the alien should be green or gray. "Little green men" vs "little gray". Tough decision. I used modified body parts purchased from the Dollar Store to make up the "guts" coming out of my back.
