Peacock Costume

I am wearing my peacock costume that I created I purchased 100 peacock feathers from the feather Mart I wanted to make something original that would stand out and be magnificent I took a showgirl idea with feathers and made it my own and everything else from the costume were things that I have already had in my closet such as boots nylons top and skirt I purchased a Styrofoam piece from Michael's which was used to hold all of the feathers I then
arranged the feathers as a fan and reinforced them with hot glue after finishing that I've then wrapped the Styrofoam in sequence material that I already had I covered it and then added some tassel to the back of it for the showgirl effect. The hairpieces and earrings and shirt was made out of extra feathers left over and just hot glued on the shirt The actual feather piece was attached by a belt that I just added black sequins to which held it sturdy and in place The total cost of my costume is approximately $45 that included feathers hot glue and Styrofoam piece. My husband and I and Lets Make A DealIt was a Ton of fun making this costume I hope you enjoy it as much as I do
