This homemade costume for girls entered our 2019 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Melisa, the 'Ariel, The Little Mermaid' costume creator:
This was designed and handmade by mom and 7 year old Alex Walker! Weeks of work, yards of fabric and creative thinking resulted in the transforming little mermaid!
She can go from Ariel in her princess gown on land.. to the mermaid with ocean waves flowing behind her with a quick release built into the dress!
Although a lot of effort, this made for a very happy little girl and that makes it all worth the work!
