Arnold and Helga G. Pataki Costume

Peter O. and Christine D. from Walnutport, PA wearing Arnold and Helga G. Pataki from the 90's cartoon show Hey Arnold. The idea came from watching the show on youtube. To create Helga, buy a pink dress from a thrift store and slice off the sleeves. I got mine for $1.50. I used red duct tape to create the red stripe along the bottom. Next, find a white tee shirt to wear underneath. I created a bow using ribbon from A.C. Moore. To create the necklace I used scrapbook paper and a printed picture of Arnold from the internet. To create Arnold, wear jeans, a plaid shirt, and a blue sweater. I created the head out of an old cardboard box. To create the whole in the head I used a plate to trace the circle. Staple elastic to the back of your design to keep the head in place.
