Avatar Couple Costume

I am wearing this costume and also my boyfriend Mitch. I came up with this idea because we really wanted to be something different and it just so happened that the movie was on tv and it sparked our idea. I created the entire costume except for the blue body suit and wig. I baught beading and tons of feathers and just plants and cut them up and glued them. The head piece is an outdoor wall decoration that was actually a heart that I cut and tied with a tribal band then decorated on the side to hide the knots. My bbelt was made with a felt strap and I cut holes to tie together with a band and glued all feathers and beads. I did all of our face paint and I just tried to look at their stripe patterns but make it more dramatic and bolder and it turned out great! I tried to make it look as wild as I could like we built it out of things we would of found in the actual wild! Together we spent about 220$ overall (Mostly on feathers and beads) and it was worth every penny!
