Baby Groot Costume

We love Groot and I wanted to be Groot for Halloween but being 5'8" not tall enough for Groot so why not baby Groot instead. So I made my mask out of gray foam floor mats, and used a hunting shirt. I used more mats and foam insulation for body bark. I cut pieces out in various shapes, and use box cutter to cut lines in foam to look like bark. Then I used heat gun to shape and open up grains in foam. I used hot glue attach the foam to shirt and used heat gun to shape the mask. I sprayed the mask and shirt with lite brown paint. Use old sun glasses for eyes and hot glued them in. I made flower pot out of laundry basket and painted it white and used suppenders to hold up the pot while I have it on. We got lots of positive feed back at large party and many pics and lots of I am Groot!
