This homemade costume for babies entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kami, the 'Baby Maui' costume creator:
I decided to dress my nephew up as a baby Maui. Maui is the “great culture hero and trickster in Polynesian mythology” on the famous Disney movie “Moana”. The costume is handmade. We ordered Moana tattoos and even hand drew some on. The leaves are made out of green and brown paper bags and the necklace is made out of twin and white foam. The idea came from the fact that my nephew is a chubby Blasian looking baby. I had a fun time making his costume and I’m sure he had a great time being baby Maui😁
