A word from Jennifer, the 'Baby Pegacorn' costume creator:
My 20 month old daughter Alyvia is wearing a hand-made unicorn/pegasus (aka: pegacorn) combo costume. I made her this costume originally to attend a renaissance fantasy fair! The way that I made this costume was as followed:
1. I got a crochet bandeau in white, 4 large spools of white (2 sparkly) tulle, faux white fur, hair clips (2), a cone shaped shell and a pair of feather angel wings.
2. I made the dress by following steps on how to make a tutu dress (off youtube), and then took one piece of fur and twisted it to make it look like a horse tail (and attached it to the crocheted part of the bandeau). I then used plastic (from an old infant formula jar) to mold the ears and hot glued the fur to them. I put the ears on the hair clips (b/c my daughter would leave on a head band) and also the "horn" (painted the shell white) on a fur covered hair clip.
(then painted her face to go along with the fantasy theme)
Very simple, inexpensive and CUTE costume for a little girl!
