This homemade costume for families entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Mike, the 'Baby Willy Wonka in the Wonkavator' costume creator:
Baby Will (Willy Wonka), his big bro (Oompa Loompa), big sister (Violet Beauregarde) & his dad (Wonkavator) team up in this 'Charlie & the Chocolate Factory' costume.
Baby Will is being held in a modified baby carrier, while his dad is wearing a custom scaled replica of a Wonkavator (with active lighting, rotating propeller, and blue tooth speaker).
Big sis is the perfect yoga ball blueberry, and big bro is the standard Oompa Loompa.
Many parts for the Wonkavator were random basement & local dump finds including an inverted margarita glass, soccer cone, frying pan, 5 disk CD changer & pool noodle.
The project started on 10.9.2020 and ended on 10.31.2020.
Will's 1st halloween was the main motivation behind the idea, with other [SO-related] inside jokes. I hope you enjoy.
