Black Gold Saw Costume

Black Gold Saw is from one of my favorite anime shows and I really wanted to create this costume to show my love for this character. I made this costume in a span of 4 to 5 months which took a lot of planning and thinking involved. There were a few failed attempts at making the shoes but I managed to get it done. The materials I used for the leg armor, sword, horns, and belt were: worbla which is a thermoplastic material, EVA foam, heat gun, and spray paint. I also added shadows to give it some depth. For the jacket I took an old shirt pattern and altered it to the shape of her jacket and cut out the stars and stripes to put on the sleeves. I completely made the sword from scratch by taking extra large paper and making a pattern to scale which came out taller than me without shoes on. I then cut out the foam using the pattern as the template and moved on to using the worbla from there which gave it extra strength and a good surface for painting.I also did the same procedure for the leg armor as I did for the sword.
