Blackheart Costume

My nine-year-old son wanted to be Blackheart from the Fortnite game so he printed a picture for me and I re-created it all by hand. After many trips to Goodwill, I found all the clothing items. I bought two jackets and cut them apart and sewed them together to re-create the jacket. Then I added bolts, shoulder pads from football pants, and painted all the detailing. I painted the skeleton on a black shirt, found a skeleton socks which I added paint to to get the right coloring, found a skeleton mask at the dollar store, painted it to look like the character and cut apart an Elsa wig to create the beard which I cut to size and painted gray. I then added purple lighting to the back of the mask so it glowed. The mask is held on with a black beanie hat covered with a cloth painted to match the character. The hook is comprised of a plunger and plastic container, plastic chains, and cardboard. I made the necklace and painted the detailing on each coin. I bought boots at Goodwill and painted one of them, and added a map and rope to it. The peg leg is comprised of a brown sock, painted to mimic wood, and I built the kneepad using a football kneepad and glad plastic container and 2 tops. I sprayed the whole thing gold, added bolts to it, and glued it all together. The pants were originally ladies black pants which I taped off and spray painted, then cut, then added components to. After I added the cost of all items, this costume cost me $38. Most items were $.99 to five dollars at Goodwill, the bolts cost me the most at $12.
