This homemade costume for kids entered our 2021 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Claire,, the 'Blobfish' costume creator:
10 year old son obsessed with blobfish for years, so we decided to make him a blobfish! Used multiple layers of paper maché over a giant balloon. Primed, then spray-painted it pink, added some pink tights, shirt, spray-painted grocery bags for fins, my son drew the face on it with sharpie, and “voilá!”
The paper mache was tricky and had to be done over a week to fully dry between layers and not collapse.
