Bombalurina from Cats Costume

my daughter, vivian, went to see the musical Cats this summer and fell in love! she decided she wanted to be a cat for halloween and there wasn’t much available so we had to construct it ourselves. we purchased a white leotard and i air brushed and hand painted it to look like a cat. if he arm and leg warmers were knitted from the same yarn in her wig. used panty hose to form the cap of her wig, and hand tied pieces of yarn to make plugs. i then brushed it out and trimmed it into the correct shape of a cat head. the wig took me roughly 32 hours and her makeup took me about an hour.
this costume was a labor of love!
