Boo Costume

My 4 year old daughter is wearing the costume "Boo" from Monsters Inc. My three kids, ages 11, 5, and 4, came up with the idea to be the Monsters characters and the others were Sully and Mike Wazowski. We searched for the perfect purple fabric and sewed it like a tunic and added in stuffed layers (the way you would make a bumble bee costume). We bought a gray long sleeve shirt and pants and sewed suction cups on the arms to replicate the look from the movie. For the head, we used a large plastic pumpkin, and cut out the face. We attached the fabric to the pumpkin and used felt for the teeth. We used a mop for the hair, just like they did in the movie. We enjoyed this family project! the total cost of the project was around 20$.
