This homemade costume for girls entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest,
A word from Pam, the 'Book Worm' costume creator:
My daughter Kaci is wearing the costume. She calls herself a "nerd" although not really understanding why people are called that for being smart. We made the books out of foam board and the binding out of poster board. The separation of the books is made with a little rope for add definition. We painted the books to look like books we had on our shelf. The worm is made from green flannel, no pattern used, just trial and error. We stuffed the tail with a little stuffing and balloons so it is lightweight. We glued in suspenders so the book stay up on her shoulders and makes it easier for walking.
