This homemade costume for families entered our 2019 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jody, the 'Boy Scout Insect Study Badge' costume creator:
My son, the Boy Scout, is working on his Insect Study Badge. He has collected a bee, me (Jody). The costume was made from a Simplicity pattern out of fleece. There is a beehive for a purse. The other insect that he collected was a spider, our dog Reed. The base of the spider was from a Simplicity pattern (coat). I then drafted the rest of the costume. The legs are fabric, fur, and pool noodles. The back is made from fur as well as the headpiece. To complete the costume there are 4 google eyes.
