This homemade costume for girls entered our 2019 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Shaun, the 'Merida from Brave' costume creator:
This is my daughter Jeannie. She is a wonderful 7 year old autistic little girl and when I asked her what she wanted to be for Halloween she promptly said "Merida costume". So the work started. We found the dress with the right configuration, I found the perfect wig that matched the wild red haired girl in the movie and even found the perfect riding boots for the outfit. The tricky part was the Bow. It had to be the right bow to bring it together so I got to work and maid this PVC bow and did a vinyl wood wrap on it with the right medallion and rocks for counter weight on the bottom. She loves it and everyone has know exactly who she is dressed as. Cost was a little on the high side but worth it at $122.
