This homemade costume for boys entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Mary, the 'Bumblebee Transformer' costume creator:
I made the Bumblebee Transformer costume for my son Niko. I found a pattern on Etsy for a transforming car (credit to NoCarGarage). It's constructed from foam board using lots of hot glue and duct tape. The yellow base coat was spray painted on, and the details were added by hand. There are "backpack" straps on the inside to keep it on. It was easy for Niko to transform from bot to car and back again.
