Cabbage Patch Kid Costume

From the day my daughter, Alyssa, was born, family and friends commented that she looked like a Cabbage Patch doll because she had such chubby, squeezable cheeks. At 8 months old, her cheeks have stayed just as adorable! Being a child of the 80s and one who loved Cabbage Patch dolls, I knew I found the perfect costume for Alyssa's first Halloween. All of the dresses Alyssa is wearing in the photos are ones that I wore when I was her age in 1981. The wig was hand made and purchased from Etsy. Alyssa's aunt, a graphic designer, made her the birth certificate. In one of the photos, I posed Alyssa with all of my Cabbage Patch dolls from the 1980s that I loved so much. I'm very happy my mother saved them and they are all in good shape!
