Cap'n Crunch Costume

This is our little guy Zander. He is 8 weeks old as of yesterday.

This costume is completely homemade. The hat is made of foam core, with the blue material on the hat a soccer shirt that was cut up (purchased at Value Village used store). The jacket is a blue sweater also purchased at Value Village that had a logo on the front, so it's turned around and the back is the front. The buttons and shoulder pieces and C logo were hand sculpted and then painted with metallic gold paint.

The spoon is a plastic, faux metallic spoon, with sculpted pieces of clay painted white - and then glued onto the spoon, with some real Cap'n Crunch cereal.

The beard, hair and milk are all white "spider" material. Same stuff that's used to decorate houses and yards.

The background is red bristel board with printed, cut out and glued on Cap'n Crunch logo and Cruncharific slogan.

The beard was put on with professional face glue for sensitive skin. A tester was done well in advance to make sure the baby would not have a reaction to the very small amount of glue used to adhere the moustache.
